Hael Farm Cottages
Prices include all bed linen and towels, bathroom and kitchen consumables, energy costs, and a welcome hamper.
Hael Farm Cottage is in a wonderfully secluded location away from any roads, yet within 3/4 mile of the village and local amenities.
A bridle path passes in front of the cottage, leading via a pretty wooded stream to Pwll Du Bay, today an enchanting walk, but in the past a notorious smuggling route. In the other direction there are stunning cliff top walks with breathtaking views across to the Devon coast, which lead down to Pobbles and Three Cliffs Bays.
The walk in either direction to the beaches is about 1 1/2 miles, but the walk itself is well worth it in its own right. You can also drive to Oxwich Bay where there is a long sandy beach with a nature reserve behind, and further on there is the pretty village of Port Eynon with its own Blue Flag beach, and in between several small bays and beaches.
Port Eynon Beach and Oxwich View Cottages are located 100m from the beach and there are a first class restaurant and pub very close. Sleeping 8 and 6 respectively the cottages can be connected via a door on the first floor to accommodate 14. The dining room in PEB is large to accommodate 14 together for meals.
Port Eynon is a charming fishing village and as such consists of pretty cottages developed in a random higgledy piggledy fashion. There is nothing like the stunning view over the village with the sea stretching to the horizon as you begin your descent down into the village via the winding road. Port Eynon is the most southerly point of the Gower and the public road ends there. There is no through traffic. The beach is backed by sand dunes and you can walk along to the East to Horton, another charming village. In addition to the restaurant and the pub, there are fish restaurants and small shops for provisions
