Oxwich Point: a stunning walk around one of Gower’s most beautiful and dramatic headlands; through beautiful woodland and across open cliffs, using a section of the Gower Coast Path.
Distance: | The shorter walk is 3¼ miles (5km), the longer walk via Oxwich Green is about 4½ miles (7km). |
Time: | Allow 2 – 4 hours. |
Terrain: | The woodland section of the walk is on uneven ground, prone to being muddy and has a very long flight of steps. There are no stiles on the shorter route, but there are three on the longer route. Be prepared and wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the conditions and season. |
Safety: | Take care when following the short section of road, there are no pavements. The path runs close to cliffs and steep slopes. |
Refreshments: | The Oxwich Bay Hotel and the village shop have a wide range of refreshments and meals available. |
Public toilets: | Opposite the Hotel. |
