This half term, we’ll be sharing a range of activities based on the animals in Dylan’s poems and stories. We have some unique, newly designed colouring sheets, plus writing prompts which will be great for all ages, and a wordsearch featuring an animal or two that you’d never have guessed Dylan mentioned! We’re also designing some scrap paper finger puppets which families with under 6s will love.
Dylan Thomas wrote movingly about the Three Nights Blitz of Swansea in his radio play, ‘Return Journey’. We’ll be commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Blitz this February with blogs and activities taking ‘Return Journey’ and other unique perspectives as their starting point. Look out for a ‘write your own’ ‘Return Journey’ activity, a ‘Return Journey’ story map, and an opportunity to create your very own pop up of some of Swansea’s cultural landmarks.
Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for more details and scroll down for downloadable activities.
On dylanthomas.com you can find a wealth of information about Dylan, his work, his local haunts, the Dylan Thomas Collection and the Blog, which features regular articles from the Dylan Thomas team and other guest writers.
