Here’s a list of events, offers and activities to keep you (and the kids!) busy this Easter. Get ready, get steady and get yourself to Swansea Bay!
If you’re an animal lover, head to Plantasia between 15th and 17th April for a close encounter with owls and peregrine falcons (you can even hold them!) Ride a donkey (small charge applies) on 20th April or find out more about fascinating animals such as tarantulas and stick insects with ‘Beastly Bugs and Blowpipes’ on 22nd and 23rd April.

The National Waterfront Museum is hosting a Golden Egg Trail between 14th and 27th April and a Swansea Jack and the Beanstalk themed Easter Eggstravaganza on the 18th. Bring some popcorn and settle down for one of their Easter films – ‘Bambi’ is showing on Easter Sunday (don’t forget your tissues!) and you can catch ‘Hop’ on Easter Monday. Or pop next door to Swansea Museum on 17th April and get crafty! Create your own bejewelled egg ready for Easter with artist Ruth McLeese.
There’ll be lots of free family fun and entertainment in Swansea Market on 16th April. Join in the fun from 10.30am to 3.30pm with arts and craft activities, stilt walkers, face painting and cookery workshops. Stock up on the finest ingredients for your Easter feasts. Enjoy the very best of Welsh cheeses, cockles and laverbread (it’s seaweed!) and warm welshcakes straight from the bakestone!
